William “Bill” Joseph Morrison, age 68, of St. Paul and formerly of Duluth journeyed to the Spirit World on Thursday, October 5, 2017. He was born in Red Lake on August 14, 1949 the son of Winfield and Franice (Gurneau) Morrison. He was formerly employed as a counselor in chemical dependency and later spent twenty seven years in counseling in Duluth High Schools Education System District #709.
Survived by his loving companion: Darla Feather of Red Lake; a daughter: Tanya Taylor of Minneapolis; sons: William Bunker Jr. of Minneapolis and Joseph Brown of Cass Lake; sisters: Anita Towne of Duluth, Aldene Morrison of Cass Lake, Donna Morrison of Red Lake and LaVonne Schmunk of Bemidji; brother: Bob Morrison of Duluth; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, a sister Annette and by brothers Ronald, John and Larry.

    My condolences go to the Morrison family. Billy Joe was a great friend all these years. All we had to do was see each other and the laughs, memories, and stories of old times in the cities when we were in our twenties would keep us laughing for hours. I feel honored just to be mentioned as one of his friends. His traditional lifestyle and beliefs were also very honorable.
