Warren H. Meyer, age 83, of Gaylord and formerly of Winsted passed away on Monday, January 9, 2012 at Oak Terrace Care Center in Gaylord, MN.
Warren Meyer was born on May 22, 1928, in New Ulm, MN, the son of Rebecca (Mehlhop) & Paul Meyer.
Warren enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, being outdoors in the sun, playing bingo and especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also loved watching wrestling and the Minnesota Twins. He worked at Mid-America Dairy for 25 years and retired from there in 1988.
He is survived by his children Douglas W. Meyer (special friend Debbie Loots), Kevin B. (Wendy) Meyer and Brenda (David) Schwantz, grandchildren Jeremy Davis, Jennifer Davis, Jamie Lund, David Schwantz and Brandon Meyer, 6 great-grandchildren, brother Orlando Meyer, sisters Eleanor Heintz, Marilyn Kiecker and Yvonne (Virgil) Swanson, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Rebecca Meyer, first wife Ruth (Dahl) Meyer in 1979 and second wife Lucille Fasching Meyer in 2009, his daughter Veronica R. Davis in 2003 and brother-in-laws Donny Kiecker and Bob Heintz.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted. Further visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church.
Funeral Services for Warren H. Meyer will be held on Friday, January 13 at 11:00 am at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Winsted.
The Urn Bearer will be David Schwantz.
Interment will be held at Winsted Public Cemetery, Winsted, MN.

MY FAMILY & I, BRITANY-TAMMY-TERA-FAMILIES, AND MOM MERTLE MATHEWS, WANT TO GIVE YOU ALL OUR SYMPATHY AND PRAYERS IN THIS DIFFICULT TIME. I VISITED HIM A FEW WEEKS AGO AND TIMES BEFORE HE WANTED ME TO BRING MY MOM TO VISIT BUT SHE HAS A HARD TIME GETTING AROUND. BOTH WENDY AND KEVIN HAVE BEEN THERE WHEN WE LOST OUR LOVED ONES AND WON’T FORGET IT. AL,STACIE,CAROL,JIM, AND MY 2 GRANDCHILDREN THANK YOU FOR BEING THERE. GOD BLESS YOUR WHOLE FAMILY. LYNN
