Visitation Information

Vincent Darrell Keahna, age 82 of Fridley, Minnesota journeyed to the Spirit World on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at the VA Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Vincent was born on May 26, 1936 the son of Floyd Keahna and Frances Goodwin Keahna in Naytahwaush, Minnesota. He was an enrolled member of the Meskwaki Nation Tribe and a descendant of Whiteearth Nation Tribe.

Vincent was an excellent fancy dancer. In his younger days he played baseball for a farm team for the Washington Senators (now Minnesota Twins). He honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was in the Honor Guard for President Kennedy’s Inauguration and as a guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington, Virginia. He worked in Administration for the B.I.A. in Minnesota. Vincent loved his family – his proudest job ever was that as a papa and grandpa.

Vincent is survived by his loving wife: Rosalyn Keahna; daughter: Tish Keahna Kruzan; sons: Floyd Martin Keahna, Conrad Robertson, Dan Robertson; sisters: Mercilyn Hoyle, Deanna Rasmussen, and Lauren Lovejoy; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, and son, Clifford Robertson.

A Celebration of Life for Vincent is June 1st, 2019. Minneapolis American Indian Center from 1:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M.
