Visitation Information

Vila G. Michaletz, age 73, of rural Glencoe passed away on Thursday, September 3rd, 2009 at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.

She was born on February 17, 1936 the daughter of William H. & Hilda Jakobi Dahlke.

Vila was baptized on March 8, 1936 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in rural Sibley Co.
She was also instructed in the Lutheran Catechism and confirmed in the Christian faith at First Lutheran Church in Glencoe on May 7, 1950.

Vila graduated from Glencoe High School in 1954.

In 1958, she graduated as a Registered Nurse from St. Barnabas Hospital in Minneapolis.

On February 28, 1959, Vila Dahlke & Myron Michaletz were joined in holy marriage at First Lutheran Church in Glencoe. God blessed their marriage with three sons.

Survived by husband: Myron H. Michaletz; sons: Mark Michaletz of Glencoe, Joel (Dawn) Michaletz of Litchfield and Gary Michaletz of Glencoe; a granddaughter: Miranda; grandson: Elijah; sisters & a brother: Myrtice (Gerhard) Becker of New Auburn, William R. Dahlke of Glencoe, Dorothy Dahlke of Frankenmuth, Michigan, Irene (Michael) Billings of Lakewood, Colorado and Karen (Robert) Rodda of Wooster, Ohio; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents: William & Hilda Dahlke and by a brother Elmer Dahlke.

Private funeral services for Vila Michaletz were held at First Lutheran Church in Glencoe. The Reverend Ronald L. Mathison officiated.

Private interment First Lutheran Cemetery.
