Vanessa (Comes Flying) Rodriguez Ayala, age 38, of Minneapolis, Minnesota journeyed to the Spirit World on Sunday, January 27, 2008 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital.
She was born on August 12, 1969 in Chamberlain, South Dakota the daughter of Kermit Comes Flying & Faith Bad Moccasin.
Survived by children: Jena, Shawna, Shavaun, Dwight all of Minneapolis & Cami of Duluth; grandchildren: Joseph, Numpa, Evan, Taleah, Joylita, Alicia, Del & Hayden; her mother: Faith Bad Moccasin of Minneapolis; sisters: Leah Bad Moccasin of Minneapolis & Twila Comes Flying of Albert Lea; brothers: Bryce & Dwight Drapeau, and Dean Bad Moccasin all of Minneapolis; special uncle: Einar Bad Moccasin; a special friend: Antonio Orozco; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her father: Kermit Comes Flying, an infant son: Aaron Rodriguez and by a sister: Lolita Drapeau.
Funeral services for Vaanessa Rodriguez Ayala will be held on Friday, February 1st at 1:30 P.M. at The Community Hall in Crow Creek, South Dakota. Father Phil Allen will officiate. Interment will follow at Christ Episcopal Cemetery in Fort Thompson, South Dakota. Traditional services are by Joe & Janice Bad Moccasin.
An all night wake will be held on Tuesday, January 29th beginning at 4:00 P.M. at Little Earth of United Tribes, 2501 Cedar Avenue South in Minneapolis.
All night wakes will continue on Wednesday & Thursday, January 30th & 31st at The Community Hall in Crow Creek, South Dakota.
