Tristan Danae Bronco Bill Garland, age 21, journeyed to the Spirit World on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at her home. She was born on June 28, 1998 in Valentine, Nebraska and is the daughter of Lonnie and Roanna (Reding) Garland. Tristan had a spitfire attitude and an adventurous spirit. She loved to travel and wander to new places. Driving was a freedom that she enjoyed and loved. Tristan enjoyed still photography and created videos she liked to share on Social Media. Tristan planned on attending film and video school and had planned to become a travel journalist. Tristan often traveled back to her grandparents’ South Dakota farm, where she enjoyed playing on the haystacks and riding four-wheelers. Tristan also like to spend time with her grandparents in Louisiana. She enjoyed going to the coast and collecting seashells. The 4th of July was her favorite time, spending it with family at her Aunt Lee’s in Illinois. Enjoying cookouts, family kick ball games and shooting fireworks.
Tristan was an animal lover and spent time with her dogs: Maya, Lakota, Kiwi, Izzy and Jovi. Tristan and her boyfriend Kenneth Zepeda, enjoyed hanging out, going to fun places and taking in the occasional Timberwolves game. Getting involved in the community and learning about her Lakota culture and heritage was a bright spot in her heart. She was reaching out to family and friends from the Rosebud Sioux Tribe and trying to learn all she could. A special thank you to the Minnesota Women’s Indian Resource Center and the Mino Oski Ain Dah Young Center and all the people who touched her life.
Survived by her parents: Lonnie and Roanna Garland. Brothers: Jaron Garland, Troy Garland, Dustin Garland and Daryl Garland. Sisters: Jocelyn Garland, Vera Garland, Chasity Garland and Kimberly Garland. Grandparents: Bob and Sharon Garland, Sheldon and Corien Reding, and many other relatives and friends.
