Travis Keith Thompson, (He-Haka-Hokœida) “Bull Elk Boy”, age 24, of Morton, Minnesota Journeyed to the Spirit World on Thursday, August 21, 2014 in Brown County.
He was born on November 6, 1989 in Minneapolis the son of Colin K. Thompson and Josephine Rainey.
He loved telling jokes and was very comical. Travis also was fond of listening to music, taking rides, playing basketball and spending time with his family and friends. He always loved to dress nice and make a good first impression with his appearance.
Survived by a son: Juelz Thompson; sisters and a brother: Josette L. Rainey of Morton, Troy K. Thompson of Willmar and Jonelle L. Rainey of Minneapolis; his father: Colin K. Thompson of Sioux Falls; half brothers and sisters: Preston Jones of Sioux Falls, Angelo White, Bailey Thompson and Anevay Thompson all of Sisseton; best friend: Mattea Lucio; other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his mother: Josephine J. Rainey, grandmother: Angie Rainey, nephew: Damiyen Jolon, a cousin: Marcel Rainey, other cousins, aunts and uncles.
Funeral Services for Travis Thompson were held on Monday, August 25th, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Bishop Whipple Mission Hall-Lower Sioux. Reverend John Robertson officiated. Spiritual Advisors were Robert & Laveda Larsen Sr. Interment followed at St. Cornelia Cemetery.
All night wakes were held on Saturday, August 23rd and Sunday, August 24th at Bishop Whipple Mission Hall.
Honorary Casket Bearers were a Niece-Tiara Thompson
and Nephews-Dustin Sullivan Jr., Cory Parkhurst,
D’ontrez Sullivan, Chaun Jones, Ivan Jones and
all other relatives and friends.

Casket Bearers were Mike Leith, Keith Williams,
Marcus Rainey, Desmond Rainey, Trinidad Rangel, Isidoro Sanchez, Mario Rainey, Conrad Rainey, Clifford Jones and Sean Beckler.
