Seth Enoch Cloud-Chief Eagle, age 18, of Agency Village, South Dakota, made his journey to the spirit world on December 17, 2008. Seth was born in Rapid City, South Dakota on October 12, 1990 to Dallas and Fern (Cloud) Chief Eagle. Coming into the world early and weighing 3lbs. 1oz. small and healthy. Dakota ia Hehaka Wambdi Waste Hoksida eciyapi. (His Dakota name was Good Elk Eagle Boy).
Seth was an International Hoop Dancer, from the time he took his first step, he was dancing. At the age of 5yrs. Seth won the World Champion Hoop Dance competition at the Heard Museum in Phoenix, AZ. Seth travelled all over the United States with his parents, hoop dancing for young people in schools, summer camps, and treatment centers.
Seth and his father Dallas, who is also Seth’s hoop dance mentor have taught the hoop dance at the Indian Youth of America summer camp in Arizona for many years, they also performed the hoop dance at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC several times.
Seth also travelled to Japan with the World Prayer and Peace Tour – Mending the Sacred Hoop dancing for the people who suffered and are still suffering from the H-bomb dropped on Hiroshima. Seth also loved to grass dance at traditional wacipi’s. Seth also was a runner and participated in the Mankato Run for the 38 + 2 Dakota every year since 2001, he also ran from the east coast to the Black Hills for the World Prayer and Peace. Seth also participated in the Big Foot Memorial Ride and the Crazy Horse Memorial Ride with his dad Dallas for many years. Seth was preparing to ride in the 4th Dakota Wokiksuye memorial ride in honor of the Dakota 38 +2. As a direct descendant of Ta Oyate Duta (Chief Little Crow), Seth was his great-great-great grandson, Seth always had a heartfelt desire to honor the ancestors and their sacrifices for us. Seth was very respectful toward his elders.
Seth grew up travelling and most of his younger years were home schooled, he attended many schools over the years in Watertown, SD, Rapid City, SD, Bennette County School Martin, SD, Shakopee, MN, Echo, MN & Granite Falls, MN. Seth was a very friendly person and making friends was so easy for him wherever he went. He loved people.
When Seth was 3 yrs. old he started rock climbing, he was the youngest rock climber on the Red Rocks in Nevada and Yosemite in California, Seth had his own rock climbing wall in the basement, he went all out when he loved doing something.
Seth started martial arts at the age of 7 and continued to learn more and advance as he grew up. Seth loved to cook, like a “gourmet chef” he often cooked for his family and friends.
Seth is survived by his mother, Fern M. Cloud of Granite Falls, MN, his father Dallas Chief Eagle II of Martin, SD. Brothers: Little Sun Bordeaux Rapid City, SD; Brad Cloud of Sisseton, SD; Roman Small of Sioux Falls, SD; Sisters: Jill LaCroix-Guerrero of Omaha, NE; JJ Drapeau Wagner, SD; Raine Cloud Sisseton, SD; Anna Elizabeth Haroldson Riverside, CA; Star & Delasina Chief Eagle of Rapid City, SD and many relatives & friends.
He is preceded into the spirit world by his maternal grandparents: Iver V. Cloud I, & Gertrude (Enoch) Cloud, paternal grandparents: Dallas Chief Eagle I & Shirley (Hudson) Bordeaux and a brother Dallas Bordeaux.
Funeral services for Seth Enoch Cloud-Chief Eagle will be held on Monday, December 22, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at The Community Center in Old Agency Village, South Dakota. Officiating will be Reverend Clifford Canku, Reverend Paul Kyle, Arvol Looking Horse, Chris Leith, John Cloud III-Senior Sacristant and Vernon Cloud-Lay Minister.
A wake will begin Saturday, December 20th at The Community Center in Old Agency Village, South Dakota beginning at 7:00 P.M. An all night wake will begin on Sunday evening, December 21st at 7:00 P.M. at The Community Center in Old Agency Village, South Dakota. Special Music will be provided by Oyate Teca Drum, Butch Felix, Paul & Hiliary Kyle and Upper Sioux Community Youth.
Pianist will be Billy Kohl.
Honorary Pall Bearers will be Emmett Eastman, Chris Leith, Darwin Strong, Evan Hartshorn, Jim Deragon, Brad Nichols, Joe White Hawk Sr., Leo “Gunner” Baker,all friends from Crazy Horse Riders, Big Foot Riders, and all of Seth’s Wacipi friends.
Pall Bearers will be Josh Atine, Vincent Downwind, Bradley Downwind, Anthony Trinidad, Bryan Renville and Ashley Peterson.

Interment will be at The Traditional Cemetery.
