Santiago “Tamone” Lente, age 32, of Minneapolis journeyed to the spirit world on Sunday, November 6, 2011.

Santiago Robert Needham was born October 27, 1979 in Gallup, NM at the Indian Public Health Service Hospital. During his childhood he lived in Alburquerque, NM and Minneapolis, MN while spending most of his time in New Mexico. He moved to Red Lake, MN as a teenager and throughout his life continued to travel between the two areas where his families originated. He traveled extensively within the US from California to Texas to North Carolina. He found his way to Paris, France, Oslo, Norway and Copenhagen, Denmark. As a child, as a teenager and as a man, he brought his smile of love and sensitivity to those who knew him. Every household that he lived in missed him when he was gone and celebrated when he returned. He reflected both the positive and negative sides of his families and always showed that his loving spirit was greater than any other quality he had. Our gift of his life and our pain of his passing are exceeded in magnitude only by our desire to know his smile one more time.

Survived by his father Maynard Needham and step-mother Helle Needham; brother Matthew (Lindarae) Needham; sisters Nakayla Moquino and Brianna Lence; step-siblings Kasper Holm (Lise Marcussen) and Camilla Holm; nephews Dasan, Soloman and Espen; nieces Estrelia, Isis and Sonia; grandmothers Roberta Shohn and Mabel Lente; uncles Steve Needham, Robert Needham, Benjamin Wells and Nash & Ritchie Rice; aunts Karen Needham and Verlin Wells; cousins Harlen, Joseph, Gerard, Eugene, Marlena, Jon, Stephanie, Ashleigh, Alex and Leo; numerous important family in New Mexico.

Preceded in death by: his mother, grandfathers Marvin Needham and Santiago Lente, uncle Stanley Lente; and cousins Marcus Dann and Kadence Shohn.

Pallbearers were Matthew Needham, Robert Needham, Ben Wells, Eugene Needham-GreyEagle, Jon Needham, & Ronald (Nash) Rice. Honorary pallbearers were Steve Needham, Gerard GreyEagle and Harlen GreyEagle.

Services for Santiago Lente will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at the Church of the Gitchiwaa Kateri, 3045 Park Avenue, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

All Night Wake service will begin at 12:00 Noon on Friday, November 11, 2011 at the church.
