Sandra Joyce Hill, age 67, of Rice Lake, MN journeyed to the Spirit World on March 17, 2023.
She was born on May 21, 1955 in Bagley, MN the daughter of Ephraim Sayers and Dorothy Hill.
Sandra graduated from Bagley High School. She loved cooking and baking and everyone enjoyed eating her food which led her to getting a certificate of completion from a culinary arts program. Sandra was a hard worker who took pride in everything she did, especially when it came to raising her four beautiful children, who adored her just as much. After raising her children in Minneapolis, she moved back to Rice Lake to retire and be with her mother and brothers. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She also enjoyed going to the casino, making people laugh on Facebook with funny memes, playing games on her phone and listening to music.
Survived by her children Alvin (Shantel) Oritz, Joel (Jamie) Ortiz, Rosa Ortiz and Debra Ortiz; siblings Alvin Hill, Robert Wayne Sayers and Debra Sayers; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; aunts Gloria and Sharon; uncle Frank; many other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her mother and father; sisters Renee and Cheryl; brother Calvin and niece Sandy Sayers.
Honorary casket bearers will be Alvin Hill, Austin Smith, Joel Ortiz, Alvin Ortiz and Gloria Crissler.
Casket bearers will be Jayson Lumbar, Gabriel Ortiz, Robert Sayers, Joseph Sayers, James Sayers, and Darrick Drapeau.
Funeral service for Sandra Hill will be held Sunday, March 26, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Rice Lake Community Center, Bagley, MN. Interment will be held at St. Phillips Episcopal Church Cemetery in Rice Lake, MN.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 24 beginning at 2 PM until 9 PM at the MN Indian Women’s Resource Center, 2300 South 15th Avenue, Minneapolis, MN. All-night wake will be held Saturday, March 25 beginning at 3:00 PM at Rice Lake Community Center, Bagley, MN.
