Ronald Andrew “Ron” Bayerl, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at his residence in Winsted, Minnesota. He was born on February 12, 1940 the son of Andrew and Martha (Kollath) Bayerl in Winsted, Minnesota.
Ron graduated from Holy Trinity School in 1958. He later attended the University of St. Thomas.
Ron honorably served his Country in the United States Army.
On February 16, 1963, Ronald Bayerl was joined in Holy Marriage to Judith M. Barrett. God blessed their marriage with three children.
He was employed for many years as a production planning manager at Nilfisk-Advance. Ron was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and was a former lector. He also belonged to The Knights of Columbus Council # 8253.
Ron enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing pool. He was very fond of spending time at the cabin on Lake Mary.
Survived by his loving wife, Judy of sixty years; children: Susan Ratai (special friend, John Stifter), Joey Bayerl and Julie (Michael) Smith; grandchildren: Celine Ratai (special friend, Ben Koosman), Selena Ratai (special friend, Ronny Decker), Andrew Guenigsman and Braxton Guenigsman; a great-grandchild: Levi Decker; a sister:
Marlys Corr; other relatives and many friends.
Preceded in death by his parents: Andrew and Martha Bayerl, a sister Joyce Quast, brothers-in-law: Joseph Quast and Gary Corr.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Ron Bayerl will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, Minnesota. Father Matthew Wiering will be the Celebrant.
A visitation will be held on Monday, August 28, 2023 from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted. A Knights of Columbus Rosary will be recited at 7:15 P.M. Parish Prayers at 7:30 P.M. Further visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday morning, August 29th from 9:30 – 10:30 A.M.
Urn Bearers will be Ron’s grandchildren.
Inurnment at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery, Winsted, Minnesota.
