Visitation Information
Rolland Matthew Miller Jr. “J.R.”, age 56, of Glencoe, MN, formerly of Mesquite, NV, was promoted to glory after a brief battle with kidney cancer on Saturday, August 22, 2015, surrounded by his family and loved ones.
He was born August 23, 1958 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Rolland and Twila (Peterson) Miller. J.R. was born the fourth of six children. He was always known for his sense of humor and he would help anyone who needed it. He raised 3 children alone, whom he adored and supported. Anyone who ever met J.R. knew two things about him right away, that he was a proud father and grandfather, and that he was a good guy. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends, but his spirit will live on in his children.
He is survived by his 3 children; Rolland Matthew (Matt) Miller III, Caitlin Miller and Karly Miller and his grandchildren; Allie Miller, Barrett Miller, Asher & Corbin Miller and Paisley Miller. He is also survived by his loving companion, Caroline Gillingham; his sisters, Kathy Rumsey and Jeannine (Sadat Kamandy) Miller; brothers Bob (Peggy) Miller, Eddie (Teresa) Miller and many nephews and nieces and countless friends.
Preceding J.R. In death are his parents, Rolland & Twila Miller; brother John Miller, sister-in-law Virginia Miller, and his brother-in-law Doug Rumsey.
Memorial Services will be held at River of Life Christian Church, 170 Main Avenue West, Winsted, MN, on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 11:30 am. Condolences may be sent www.chilsonfuneralhome.com
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his children at a paypal link located at http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/jrmiller. His children wish to honor his life through a memorial service that will celebrate his joyous spirit, so please wear bright colors if you plan to attend services. J.R.’s favorite color was blue.
My condolences during this time. May God’s presence fill you & guide you these days & weeks ahead.

It was my pleasure to know and work with JR. He was the kindest, funniest guy you could ever meet. He helped my husband and I when our car broke down and did not expect anything in return. He earned his wings in this life earlier than most. He will be remembered with a loving smile from me always. Bless you all.
JR thanks for making work so much fun!!! We Love and Miss you Big Time!!!
Your Friends,
Gary and Jewel
