Richard Dale Fairbanks, age 53, of Minneapolis, MN began his journey to the Spirit World on October 25, 2023.
He was born on June 7, 1970 in Minneapolis, MN the son of Richard Mason and Darlene Fairbanks.
Richard was a charismatic friend and loved one to so many. His artistic talents showed in his letters he’d write to his children. He was funny and a car enthusiast. Richard graduated from St. Paul Technical College with a focus on auto body repair on May 18, 2001, the very first American Indian to graduate that year.
Richard is survived by his children Joseph Fairbanks (Randi Fairbanks), Emma Fairbanks, Skye Fairbanks, Richard Fairbanks Jr., and Dorian Fairbanks. His siblings, Jamison Cox (Shawna Cox), Robin Cox, and Tala Fairbanks. And his six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Grandparents,  Hershel and Emma Fairbanks, his parents Darlene Fairbanks and Richard Mason, and his niece Tessa Fairbanks.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Gichitwaa Kateri Parish in Minneapolis, MN on Wednesday November 8th, 2023. Visitation will begin at 9 AM, with the service starting at 11 AM.

    I will always remember those all nighters we pulled with Darlene saying those better not be beers I hear cracking down there. Rick would say they are diet Cokes we’re just blazing. Yeah right she would say… R.I.P. Brother from another mother!
