Priscilla Ann “Percy” Habisch, age 73, of Winsted passed away on Saturday, March 23rd, 2019 at her residence.
She was born on July 4, 1945 in Minneapolis the daughter of Leo F. & Bernice R. (Lewandowski) Strauss.
On July 4, 1964, Priscilla Ann Strauss and Richard “Dick” Habisch were joined in holy marriage at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. God blessed their marriage with four children Ricky, Lynn, Terry and Patti.
Percy was employed for many years as a dietary aide at St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted.
She enjoyed shopping, gardening and baking. Percy also enjoyed having her friends over for coffee.
Survived by children: Ricky (Cindy) Habisch, Lynn (Dan) Barney, Terry Habisch (Candy) and Patti Habisch (Jeremy Ross); grandchildren: Dustin and Dakota Barney, Courtney (Caleb) Welte, Tyler and Brandon Habisch, Nicholas Habisch and Jacob and Gracie Ross; a great grandson Clay Welte; a sister: Patty Strauss and two brothers: Kenny Strauss and Gerry (Deb) Strauss; other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her husband Richard “Dick” Habisch on January 18, 1991, her parents Leo & Bernice Strauss and her parents-in-law Carl & Helen Habisch.
A Memorial service for Priscilla A. “Percy” Habisch will be held on Wednesday, March 27th, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted. Officiating will be Father Michael Doyle. Inurnment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
A time of gathering will be held on Wednesday, March 27th one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Urn Bearers will be her grandchildren: Dustin Barney, Dakota Barney, Courtney Welte, Tyler Habisch, Brandon Habisch, Nicholas Habisch, Jacob Ross and Gracie Ross.
MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY. WHEN I LIVED IN WINSTED, I STARTED THE ATHC THRIFT STORE. SHE CAME IN EVERY DAY. MOSTLY BOUGHT THINGS FOR ALL OF YOU. SHE WAS ALWAYS NICE AND UP-BEAT! I MISS HER AND WINSTED. GOD BLESS.
