Patricia “Pat” Lorraine Kerber, age 85, of rural Winsted passed away on Thursday evening, April 14, 2016 at her residence.
She was born on April 14, 1931 in Chaska the daughter of Leo & Anna (Jacques) Grimm.
On October 23, 1951, Patricia L. Grimm and Walter M. Kerber were joined in holy marriage at Guardian Angels Church in Chaska. God blessed their marriage with six children.
Pat enjoyed gardening, flowers and old time music. She had a special place for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren! Pat enjoyed entertaining her family on special holidays. Pat and Wally enjoyed many trips.
She was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Pat also belonged to St. Anne’s Society, C.C.W. and Bible study.
Survived by her loving husband of sixty-four years: Walter M. “Wally” Kerber; six children: Allen (Cathy) Kerber of Arlington, Daniel (Kathy) Kerber of Prior Lake, Cindy (Joe) Nowak of Silver Lake, Colleen (John) Kohout of Olivia, Connie (Steve) Splett of Safety Harbor, Florida and Robert (Jane) Kerber of Woodbury; fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; two sisters: Julie Ann Hammers and Mary Walter both of Chaska; many other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, a brother James Grimm and by a sister Jean Kamrowski.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Patricia “Pat” Kerber will be held on Monday, April 25th at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Father Paul Schumacher will be the Celebrant. Alice Nowak will be the organist for the Mass.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 24th from 3:30-7:30 P.M. at The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted. A C.C.W. Rosary will be recited at 4:00 P.M., a Prayer service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Further visitation will be held on Monday morning at the funeral home from 9:30-10:30 A.M.
