I knew Owen from Ft. Snelling. He was a mentor and a friend. I will miss our conversations as neighbors in the locker-room and outside when we prepared to fire the cannon.

We are so sorry for your family’s loss of a Husband, Dad, Grandpa and a Great friend. I will miss the great emails and calls Owen and I shared. I will miss a Great Mentor that I learned from in the beginning of my career! I can’t wait to someday be in Heaven and continue my visit with Owen (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18)

I worked with Owen for the last two years at Fort Snelling. Il will miss is wisdom, passion, dedication and humor. Owen will live on with us at the fort. All of us who knew Owen, will talk often of him and the joy he brought with him every time he walked through the gate. We are not less for having lost him, but greater for having had the honour of knowing him. I’ll meet you again Owen, at Fiddler’s Green.

Rusty & Family–Sorry I am unable to attend services. I was fortunate to have many opportunities to work with Owen when he was on the road and when he taught our firearms safety education classes. I will always have good memories and smiles when I think of him. God bless! Tim
