November 2, 19323 – February 6, 2022

     Norman “Butch” Stanley Roberts, age 89, of Minneapolis, Minnesota journeyed to the Spirit World on February 6, 2022 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  He was born on November 2, 1932 in Red Lake, Minnesota the son of Patrick Roberts and Jenny Kelly.

Norman was formerly employed in maintenance at Pilot City in N. Minneapolis, Minnesota, The Upper Midwest American Indian Center and Four Directions Charter School.   He enjoyed hunting, trapping, taking the city buses and going to the Casino.  Butch had a loving, giving soul and lived a very humble life.  He never smoked nor drank.  Norman honorably served his county in the United States Army, serving in Germany.

Survived by a brother: Doug Roberts; a sister: Alberta Zamora; many other loving relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Frances Graves, Phyllis Jourdain, Fred Roberts, Virginia Roberts, Dwight Roberts, Floyd Roberts and (Baby) Jimmy Boy Roberts.

An all-night visitation will be held on Monday, February 14, 2022 beginning at 6:00 P.M. at the American Indian Center, 1530 E. Franklin Avenue, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

A funeral service for Norman Roberts will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022  beginning at the American Indian Center, 1530 E. Franklin Avenue, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Officiating will be Robert Gill.

Drum Group will be Hoka-Hey

Casket Bearers will be Antonio Zamora-Barron, Ivan Martinez-Robinson, J.J. Hill, Dwight Bellanger Jr., Kayden Jackson, Donald Blackhawk.
