Nicole Frances LaBlanc, age 40 of Minneapolis, Minnesota Journeyed to the Spirit World on Monday, July 10, 2023 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was born on December 16, 1982 in Sisseton, South Dakota the daughter of Stacey LaBlanc and Etta Hart. She grew up in Sisseton, South Dakota and was a proud member of the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Tribe.
Nicole loved to draw; she was very good at it. She was a very social person and was still friends with everyone from grade school. After her mother, Etta, passed away Nicole and her siblings lived with her maternal grandmother and grandfather in South Dakota. She would occasionally go back to the reservation for visits. After she buried her oldest little girl, she rarely went back and then finally made it a point to stay away. When she lived in Las Vegas, she held several jobs. The one she liked was working for the Native America Outreach. After Santana was born, she wanted to move back to Minneapolis.
Survived by her children: Wiyohpeyata St. Germaine, Lluvia Alfaro and Santana Alfaro; siblings: Danny Blue, Stacey LaBlanc Jr., Melissa LaBlanc, Eric LaBlanc, Alicia LaBlanc, Cheyenne Eastman, Autumn Eastman. She has many loving friends and relatives who will miss her.
Preceded in death by her father: Stacey LaBlanc Sr., and her mother: Etta Hart; daughter: Canwapaziwin St. Germaine; and many other loving relatives and friends.
An all-night visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 beginning at 5:00 P.M. at the Minnesota Indian Women’s Resource Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
A funeral service for Nicole LaBlanc will be held Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the Minnesota Indian Women’s Resource Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
