“Junior”

Nicholas Julian Eastman, Jr., journeyed to the Spirit World on March 15th, 2008 at his residence in Crawfordsville.

Jr. was born February 3rd, 2008 in Sisseton, SD to Nikki Crawford and Nicholas Eastman, Sr. Jr.’s life was short on earth, the little time we had Jr. with us was full of joy and happiness. Jr. left behind his beloved parents, a big brother: Jorell, maternal grandmothers: Jody (Monte) Thompson, Emma (Brian) Greybull and Miranda Crawford; paternal grandmothers: Ann and Aileen Keeble, Louella (John) Cloud, Paternal grandfathers: Darrell Mireau, Gabe Kampeska, Claude Kampeska, maternal great-grandparents: Edwin & Glendee Crawford, Kermit & Rosa Boyd; paternal great-grandparents: Jonas & Geraldine Keeble; maternal great-great grandma: Josephine Black Dog; immediate uncles: Earlwin Greybull, Tristan & Taylan Thompson, Alvan Jackson, Sheldon Bird, Steven ‘Chubby’ Kongi Jr., and Jack Crawford; immediate aunties: Geralyn, Alex, Brianna, Antoinette, Abilene, Amelia, and Abrielle; many other uncles, aunties, cousins and other family members.

Junior was preceded in death by his maternal grandpa: Jack Crawford; and paternal grandpa: Ernie Keeble.

Funeral Services for Nicholas Eastman, Jr. were held on Thursday, March 20th at 2:00 P.M. at The Community Center in Old Agency Village, South Dakota. Officiating was Father Charles Chan , Reverend Enright Bighorn, Pastor Darrell Mireau and Reader Gerald Heminger Jr. Pianist was Kay Birsheim. Special Music by Ridge Runners Drum Group.

Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery in Agency Village.

An all night wake was held on Wednesday, March 19th at The Community Center beginning at 7:00 P.M.

Casket Bearers were Sheldon Bird, Chris Felicia, Jr., Earlwin Greybull and Tristan Thompson.

    Deksi Nick, Tunwin Glenda, Tahasi Jody and niece Nicki, My thoughts and prayers are with each and everyone of you. I have been praying for the family since I heard the news.
