Our beloved Mia Lorraine Tillie German, age 17, of Sisseton, SD journeyed to the Spirit World on Friday, January 28, 2022.
She was born in Sisseton, SD on December 8, 2004 the daughter of Glenn “Casper” German Jr. and Michelle Brown.
Mia had a BIG heart. She was currently in the eleventh grade at Tiospa Zina School. She enjoyed riding horses, doing her make-up, listening to loud music and hanging out with friends. She was a volleyball and basketball player, loved being an auntie and loved her animals.
Our angel is survived by her parents Michelle Brown and Glenn “Casper” (Doreen) German Jr. all of Sisseton, SD; father figure Eric Hill; siblings Michael (Kristen) German of Watertown, SD, Brianna (Michael) Seaboy of Waubay, SD, Lane (Jasmine) Quinn of Sisseton, SD, Matthew (Yesmin) German of Seattle, WA, Mikaela (Canaan) German, Jasper German, Jersey Demmaris all of Sisseton, SD; maternal grandparents Duane (Karen) Brown of Sisseton, SD; paternal great grandmothers Joyce “Veronica” Ojeda of Watertown, SD and Lorraine German of Peever, SD; further survived by nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her grandparents Glenn (Carla) German, grandmothers Darlene Barker and Pearl Wilson; great grandfather Gerald “Smokey” German and by an uncle Erik Brown.
Funeral services for Mia German will be held at SWO Community Center in Old Agency Village, SD on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 10:00 AM. Pastor Milton “Nippy” Owen will officiate including St. Mary’s Lay Readers and pianist Billy Kohl.
The Drum Group will be the Long Elk Drum Group.
All-night wake will be at the Community Center on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 beginning at 7 PM.
Honorary Bearers will be all of her friends and family.
Casket bearers will be Michael German, Lane Quinn, Matthew German, Jasper German, Logan Grimm, Isiah Grimm, Koel Eastman and Kollen Eastman.
