September 28, 1957 – April 22, 2021
Mary Kay Guenigsman Alger, age 63, of Delano and formerly of Winsted passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at her residence.
She was born on September 28, 1957 in Hutchinson the daughter of John and Lavonne (Briesemeister) Guenigsman.
Mary Kay graduated from Lester Prairie High School in 1976.
On October 2, 2010, Mary Kay was joined in holy marriage to Mark Alger in Winsted.
She owned and operated for many years Mary Kay’s Day Care.
Mary Kay enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and dogs. She was also fond of sewing, gardening and watching old T.V. shows.
Survived by her husband: Mark Alger; children: Jenny Deidrick (Josh Burkett) and Joe Deidrick; four step sons: Matt (Kaley) Alger, Mitchell Alger, Marshall Alger and MacKenzie (Mariah) Alger; grandchildren: Bryce, Brayden, Alayna and Della; Lyla and Charlotte; her parents: John and Lavonne Guenigsman; siblings: Paul (Kristie) Guenigsman, Randy Guenigsman, Kathy Zerwas and Dale (Barb) Guenigsman; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her infant sister and by her brother-in-law Larry Zerwas.
A time of gathering will be held on Friday, April 30th, 2021 from 4-7 P.M. at The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted.
A Private Memorial Service for Mary Kay Alger will be held on Friday, April 30th at 7:00 P.M. at The Chilson Funeral Home. Father Matthew Wiering will officiate.
Inurnment Saint Joseph Cemetery in Delano at a later date.

So sad to hear about Mary Kay. I was able to catch up with family when I would see her at the grocery store when we happened to cross paths there. Prayers are with you all and may the Angels carry her home…
