Mary Beth Rathmanner, age 53, of St. Joseph and formerly of Winsted, Minnesota passed away on September 4, 2012 at The St. Cloud Hospital.

She was born on September 2, 1959 the daughter of Alex and Verla (McNamara) Rathmanner.

She graduated from Buffalo High School Special Education Program.

Mary Beth lived in St. Joseph, Minnesota for the last eleven years with Bob & Kay Merdan, her caregivers and loving extended family.

She participated in the Special Olympics and one year she won the gold medal in bowling. Mary Beth loved working at The House of Pizza in Sartell.

She loved everyone and always had a ready smile and a big hug for us.

Survived by brothers Terry (Sherry) Rathmanner of Burnsville, Minnesota and Chuck (Jane) Rathmanner of Sebring, Florida:a nephew: Christopher (Stephanie) Rathmanner of and their two sons: Colin and Chase; a niece: Natalie (John) Levasseur and their children Mya and Ethan; a niece Liza (Joe) Halstead and their daughters: Julia & Liana; several aunts and uncles; sixty first cousins.

Preceeded in death by parents Alex and Verla Rathmanner of Winsted, MN

Our angel on earth is now with family in heaven. Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25.

Funeral services for Mary Beth Rathmanner will be held on Monday, September 10th, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at The Chilson Funeral Home, 200 Fairlwawn Ave. W, Winsted, Minnesota. 55395. Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Winsted.

A visitation will be held on Monday, September 10th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00am at the funeral home.

    Brent and I am so sorry for the loss of Mary Beth. She was his best friend and to him, “such a sweetheart”. We know that you will miss her dearly as we will. She brought sunshine into every day and every life that she touched. Our mourning for her will be deep but our memories of her will be strong and lasting.
