Mary Ann (Millerbernd) Anton, age 88 of Waconia, formerly of Vadnais Heights, MN, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2022. She was born Novembe r6, 1933 in Buffalo Lake, MN to Carl and Mildred (Krant) Millerbernd. Her mother, Mildred, died when Mary Ann was 1 ½ years old, and her father remarried to Clara (Miller) Millerbernd.

Mary Ann was raised in Winsted, MN and graduated from Holy Trinity in Winsted in 1951.

On August 25, 1956, Mary Ann Millerbernd and Eugene “Gene” Anton were united in Holy Matrimony at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in St. Paul, MN. Gene died on March 2, 1997. Mary Ann continued to live in Vadnais Heights until 2015, when she moved to Waconia.

Mary Ann worked for the Great Northern Railroad for 11 years, and then worked for 3M Company for 22 years until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time gardening, RV camping, working on puzzles, and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gene Anton; parents; brother, Charles Millerbernd; and brothers-in-law, Raymond Kopka, Alan Blackwell, Stuart Oslund.

Mary Ann is survived by her siblings, Donald Millerbernd, Ralph (Jan) Millerbernd, Judy (Gerhard) Christ, Catherine Kopka, Elizabeth Blackwell, Barbara Oslund, Eileen Millerbernd (Steve Clyne); sister-in-law, Barbara Millerbernd; and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
