Visitation Information
Marjorie Elaine Ragsdale, daughter of Herbert and Grace (Supanji) Brant, was born July 21, 1938 in Sisseton, South Dakota.
She attended both Wahpeton and Flandreau Indian Schools where she graduated.
Marjorie later relocated to California, where she lived and worked to start a new beginning. She worked various jobs and had made a life for herself. This is also how she met the love of her life, Herman Ragsdale. They made their home in Eden, South Dakota and were united in marriage on October 4, 1981.
She loved to go to the casino and play her favorite quarter machine, Double Diamonds. She also never missed a time to stop and get her scratch tickets.
Marjorie loved to quilt blankets, do bead work, gardening, and swim in her younger years. She also loved her many cats and made sure they were always fed. She loved playing her favorite hand-held poker machine.
Marjorie was as tough as they come, making sure things were done the right way. However, she was also comical, making people laugh at something she said or did. She had many good stories to tell.
Most of all, Marjorie loved her family very much and loved spending time with them and her grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by all of her family members and friends.
Marjorie passed away suddenly on Sunday afternoon, March 13, 2011 at The Tekakwitha Living Center in Sisseton, South Dakota.
