Visitation Information

Marcella Mary Fasching, age 89, of Winsted, Minnesota, passed away February 20, 2011 in Glencoe.

Marcella was born April 13, 1921 in Victor Township, Wright County, Minnesota, the daughter of Bernard and Magdalena (Zimmerman) Loebertman.

On October 5, 1943 Marcella was joined in holy marriage to Leonard J. Fasching at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. She farmed on the family farm until the death of her husband on June 22, 1968. After Leonard’s death, Marcella moved to Winsted and worked in the dietary department of St. Mary’s Hospital and Home. She enjoyed quilting and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marcella is survived by her daughters, Mary Ann (Bob) Cowell of Monroe, Nebraska and Jane Lindquist of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death her husband, Leonard J. Fasching; her son, Stan Fasching; daughter-in-law, Jeanne Fasching; son-in-law, Lee Lindquist .

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am Friday, February 25, 2011 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Father Tony Hesse will be the Celebrant.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 4-7pm at Chilson Funeral Home, 200 Fairlawn Avenue in Winsted. Further visitation will be held Friday morning from 9:30- 10:30am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery next to her husband.
