Marcella Mary “Sally” Lachermeier, age 97, of Winsted passed away on Wednesday, April 28th in Waconia, MN.

She was born on June 11, 1923 in Hollywood Township, Carver County, MN the daughter of John and Josephine (Hausladen) Lynch.

Sally graduated from Watertown High School and was a school teacher prior to marriage.

On October 16, 1945 Marcella “Sally” Lynch and Bernard F. “Ben” Lachermeier were joined in holy marriage at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown.  God blessed their marriage with three sons.

Sally and Ben engaged in dairy farming for their entire lives. They moved into Winsted in 1991.   She was very proud of being Irish!  Sally enjoyed tending to her flowers and mowing the lawn.  She also enjoyed dancing and was a great cook.  Sally loved her grandchildren and was very proud of them.

Survived by her sons Bill (Nancy) Lachermeier of Winsted, Bob (Joy) Lachermeier of Monticello and John (Brenda) Lachermeier of Mayer; grandchildren David (Nancie) Lachermeier, Philip (Jennifer) Lachermeier, Angela (Eric) Bachinski, Amy (Dan) Graeber, Tom (Jenny) Lachermeier, Matt (Alicia) Lachermeier, Jeff Lachermeier (special friend Rachel) and Kelli (Tyler) Miller; great-grandchildren Taylor (fiance’ Zach), Benjamin, Emily (special friend Steve), Elizabeth (special friend Cory), Logan, Maddie, Weston, Iris and Miles; brother Jim Lynch; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her loving husband on November 29, 2007, her parents, twin brother Edward Lynch, siblings Emmet, Ambrose and Leon Lynch.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, May 4th at 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.  Father John Hayes will be the celebrant.  Inurnment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery.

Please join us for a luncheon and fellowship following the burial at the Winsted Legion.
