Lois F. Schrupp, age 84 of Winsted, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 19, 2017.
Lois was born the daughter of Gilbert and Emma (Braunworth) Schumann on June 27, 1933 in Victor Township, rural Howard Lake, MN.
Lois was united in marriage on June 11, 1955 to Gilmore A. Schrupp at St. James Lutheran Church of Howard Lake.
For most of Lois’s life she was defined by her being a nurse at numerous locations. Lois was trained and received her LPN while working at the Nagel Hospital in Waconia. From there she worked at St. Mary’s Hospital in Winsted and also was a home health nurse for McLeod County Public Health.
Lois was also an important part of running the family farm with her husband Gil. She was a true farm wife/mom and loved to garden, raise puppies and truly loved all of her kitties. This love of family and great knowledge she passed on to her daughters and their families.
She is loved and will be dearly missed.
Lois is survived by her husband of 62 years Gil; daughters Patty (Ron) Krohn and Gail (Ron) Arndt; grandchildren Kris (Matt) Linkert, Kari (Richard) Arimond and Patrick Arndt; brother-in-law Glen and LaVern Schrupp; sister-in-law Ruth Schrupp; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Gilbert and Emma Schumann.
Memorial services for Lois will be held Saturday, December 23 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service all at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Howard Lake.
Officiating was Pastor Paul Koch.
Luncheon to follow at church.
Gil, Patti and Gail, I am so sorry to hear of your wife’s/ mom’s death. She was such a great person….bubbly personality and such a great gal to work with at SMCC…..so many years ago.
