Lillian LaCroix Greeley “Wo-ke-su-ya Hdu-ha-mani-win” (walking with her memories woman), age 75, of Sisseton, South Dakota journeyed to the Spirit World on Friday, October 19, 2007.
She was born on December 23, 1931 in rural Veblen, South Dakota the daughter of Spencer & Lucy DuMarce LaCroix.
Lillian enjoyed bingo, crossword puzzles and listening to classic country music on the radio.
Survived by her loving children: Charles Greeley of Sisseton, Linda (Basil) Heth of Wagner, Beverly Greeley, Karen (Jacky) White, Lauren (Allen) White and Bertha Redday all of Sisseton; thirty five grandchildren, many great grandchildren; a sister: Dora LaCroix of Sisseton; many other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her husband: Isaac “Ike” Greeley, her parents: Spencer & Lucy LaCroix, four sisters: Lena, Violet, Hilda & Alice, two brothers: Henry and Raymond, a grandchild and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Lillian LaCroix Greeley will be held on Tuesday, October 23rd at 2:00 P.M. at The Community Center in Old Agency Village, South Dakota. Officiating will be Junior Heminger, Filmore Simon, Joe Williams and Tina Williams.
Special Music will be provided by The Red Storm Drum Group, Cangleska Standing Elk, Joe & Kathy White and Butch Felix.
An all night wakes will begin on Sunday, October 21st and Monday, October 22nd at The Community Center in Old Agency Village, South Dakota
Honorary Casket Bearers will be all her bingo buddies, Maria DeCoteau, Richanda Hill, Kathleen Bird, Lorna Hansen, Joan Gill, Lynelle White, Tina White, Romona Richter, Yvonne St. John, Velma Vlasniak, Angeline Wanna, Doris Bursheim and Juanita Bagola.
Casket Bearers will be Darwin James, Justin Hook, Justin White, Andrew Lefthand, Reno Greeley, Perry Lufkins, Jason Greeley. Alphonse Ross & Todd Brown will serve as alternates.
