Leo Joseph Weber, age 75, of rural Winsted passed away on Thursday evening, September 13, 2012 at his residence.

He was born on November 30, 1936 in Winsted Township the son of Joseph F. & Isabelle J. (Scherman) Weber Jr.

Leo graduated from Howard Lake High School in 1955.

On June 26, 1965, Leo J. Weber and Mavis E. Mallak were joined in holy marriage at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Silver Lake. God blessed their marriage with three children Warren, Wanda and Wendy.

Leo farmed on the family homestead for many years and was employed at The Blue Note Ballroom in Winsted for thirty years.

He served on The Winsted Township Board for twenty years and on The Howard Lake- Waverly-Winsted School Board for thirty years.

Leo enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, visiting with people, toy tractors, woodworking and playing cards.

He attended St. Adalbert’s Catholic Church in Silver Lake for many years and was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Leo also belonged to The Catholic Order of Foresters Court #1054 and The Knights of Columbus Council # 8253.

Survived by his loving wife of forty seven years: Mavis E. Weber; children: Warren (Mary) Weber of St. Paul, Wanda Weber (Brian Crooker) of Scandia and Wendy (Edmund) Nowak Jr. of Silver Lake; grandchildren: Melanie, Everett, Arissa, Mackenzie and Ethan Nowak and Joleen (Zach) Woytcke; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents Joseph F. & Isabelle Weber, father-in-law & mother-in-law: Joseph J. & Irene Mallak.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Leo Weber will be held on Tuesday, September 18th at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Father Tony Stubeda will be the Celebrant.

Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Monday, September 17th from 4-8 P.M. at The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted.
A Prayer service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Monday evening, September 17th and a combined Catholic Order of Foresters and Knights of Columbus Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M.

Further visitation will be held on Tuesday morning, September 18th from 9:30 A.M.-10:30 A.M.

Urn Bearer will be Warren Weber.
