Kenneth Otto Lehner, age 79 of Winsted passed away at his residence on Tuesday, April 21, 2020.
He was born on June 24, 1940 in Krain Township, near Albany, Minnesota the son of Alois and Dorothy (Klug) Lehner.
He was baptized on July 7, 1940 at Evangelical Ebenezer Church.
Ken was also instructed in the Lutheran Catechism and confirmed in the Christian faith on April 11, 1954 at Evangelical Ebenezer Church.
He honorably served his Country in the United States Army Reserves.
On November 18, 1961, Kenneth O. Lehner and Luella E. Lemke were joined in holy marriage at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Farming Township, Stearns County, Minnesota by Reverend Gene Merrill. God blessed their marriage with three sons.
Ken was employed for many years at Sterner Lighting in Winsted as a welder and shop supervisor.
Ken loved his family! He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was a faithful member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Winsted. Ken formerly served as Church Treasurer, Elder, on the Board of Education and as a Sunday School Teacher.
Survived by his loving wife of fifty-eight years: Luella “Lue” Lehner; children: Jeff ( Patty) Lehner of Waverly, Brian (Cindy) Lehner of Hayward, Wisconsin and Tim (Catherine) Lehner of Mayer; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren; siblings: Diane (Ron) Nelson of Spicer, Greg (Gail) Lehner of Sauk Centre, Lois Thul of Prior Lake and Jim (Margie) Lehner of Avon; a sister-in-law: Sharon Lehner of Albany; many other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents Alois and Dorothy (Klug) Lehner and by a brother Loren Lehner.
A Memorial Service for Kenneth “Ken” Lehner will be held on Saturday, June 27th, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Winsted. Pastor Dave Hormann will officiate. Special Music by Bruce Gatz and Keyboard will be Whitney Heinen.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 27th at the church from 9:00 A.M. until time of services.
Interment was held at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Farming Township, Minnesota.
Honorary Casket Bearer were: Treyton Frisbie.
Casket Bearers were: Cameron Lehner & Emily Gabur, Heather & Brandon Smith, Collin Lehner, Brant Mangrich, Rian Mangrich and Kira Frisbie.
