Kelsey Jenneth Torrence, age 27, of Apple Valley, Minnesota Journeyed to the Spirit World on Monday, May 30, 2022 at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  She was born in Watertown, South Dakota on December 13, 1994 the daughter of Jimmy Torrence and Danita Lufkins.

Kelsey was a very outgoing, caring person, always happy and giving hugs. Kelsey enjoyed doing many things, shopping at the mall, dancing, singing, driving around, getting presents, baking, praying, puppies, and drawing pictures with her daughter.  She was a great poet. She loved to kiss and fix her daughter Yavirrah’s hair. She like to paint her and her daughter’s nails.  Super Super Turtle was the family pet. Her favorite food was Watermelon and Strawberries.  Kelsey favorite game was Bingo.

Survived by her loving daughter: Yavirrah Ma’at Wilburn; mother: Danita Torrence; father: Jimmy Torrence; brothers: Varden Hopkins Jr. and Jimmy Lamar Torrence; sister: Keshia Torrence; nieces, nephews, cousins, many other loving relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her grandmother: Jeanette Torrence; grandfather: Samuel Dumarce; aunt: Jenneth Torrence; great aunt: Faith Lufkins; uncle: William Hurt; sisters: Amber Christine Hopkins and Kimberly Ann Torrence.

An all-night wake will be held on Monday, June 6, 2022 beginning at 6:00 P.M. at the Church of the Blessed Kateri in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the Church of the Blessed Kateri in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be family and friends.

Casket Bearers will be Darnell Hunter, Edwin Washington, Travis Brown, Justin Brown, Jeremy Brown, Kello Brown.
