Kathleen Ann “Kathy” Deragon, age 67, of Hutchinson passed away Friday, June 2nd, 2017 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester.

She was born on December 19, 1949 in Dassel, Minnesota the daughter of Embert & Donna (Johnson) Sorenson.

Kathy was formerly part owner in a trucking company, was a CNA at Lakeview Ranch in Dassel and at Prairie Senior Cottages in Hutchinson. She also worked at 3M in Hutchinson for many years.

She loved cooking, scrapbooking, crafts, spending time with family and friends, sitting outside during the evenings, flowers & plants. Kathy also enjoyed going to grandchildren’s events. She was a faithful member of Riverside Assembly of God Church in Hutchinson and coordinated senior dinners and also game nights.

Survived by her husband: James K. Deragon; children: Jason (Jean) Brede of Chaska, Jessica Brede-Peak of Plymouth and Jennifer (Jacob) Knick of Brownton; grandchildren: Brooke Brede Wickenhauser, Darian Brede, Cassandra Klasner, Ashton Brede, Grant & Gavin Kugath, Jasmine Knick, Cadance Knick, Isaiah Deragon, Caiden Schroeder, Ayanna Bigboy and Shenoa Bigboy; a great granddaughter: River Rose-Kathleen; stepchildren: Deborah (Dean) Deragon of Ashland, Wisconsin, Karri (Brad) Bigboy of Odanah, Wisconsin, Michael Deragon of Hutchinson, Nicolas (Mariah) Deragon of Hutchinson and Isaac (Allie) Deragon of St. Paul; a brother: Roger Sorenson of Willmar; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents Embert & Donna Sorenson.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 10th, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Riverside Assembly of God in Hutchinson. Dr. Lee Allison will officiate.

Vocalist will be Mariah Ralston Deragon.
Honorary Pall Bearers will be Kathy’s grandchildren.

A time of gathering will be held on Saturday, June 10th one hour prior to services at the church.

Inurnment Dassel Community Cemetery.
