Juan Antonio Vasquez, age 68, of Minneapolis passed away on Friday, July 12, 2019 at Abbott – Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. He was born on July 5th, 1951 in Mexico, the son of Trinidad Vasquez and Silvestra Aheman. Juan was formerly employed as a welder for a construction company. Juan was funny, loved dancing, was fun loving, liked being around his family, he was independent after his stroke he remained independent. He loved to enjoy life! He loved his grandchildren and always wanted to see and be around them. Juan like his dogs, Blaze, Challupa, and Tita. He also liked going to thrift stores and taking trips to Como Zoo. His favorite sport was boxing. He also liked to fish, read and play bingo.
Survived by his children: Juan, Maya, Isabell, Myron, Fabiola, Adriana and Rapheal; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers: Francisco (Linda) Morales and James Ortley; sisters: Avelina, Isabell, Carmina, Lisa Ortley, Stephanie Ortley, Andrea Ortley and Theresa Ortley; mother-in-law: Mary Ortley; special niece, Joanna Sanchez-Cordero; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and brother: Sam “Bud” Ortley.
