November 23, 2002 – April 21, 2023

Joseph “Joey” Donald Schlueter, age 20, of Windom, Minnesota passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023 at Windom Area Health.

He was born on November 23, 2002 in Minneapolis the son of Bradley Joseph Schlueter and Jennifer Lynn Larson.  Joey was baptized at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, MN on Sept.12, 2004.

Joey loved family and loved when everyone got together and shared stories and laughter. Whenever he got invited to go somewhere fun, you didn’t need to ask him twice.

Joey had many great friends, whom he loved.  He got to do more in his life than some people ever dream of. He loved having bon fires with his friends and doing things with them.

Some of the things Joey liked was camping, he was a master at setting the camper up. He loved old cars, going places in his truck, swimming, dirt bikes, four wheeling, video gaming, you tube, looking at recipes, Japanese Anime’, fishing and boating, country music,

Joey was a friendly, kind and peaceful soul who showed respect and shared happiness. He was an optimistic dreamer.

Even though he had many health issues, he enjoyed life to the fullest and always kept that smile. He received a double lung/ heart transplant on Sept 08, 2021.

He is survived by his father: Brad Schlueter; siblings: Darian Montury, MacKenzie Sturges Schlueter and Jaxon Schlueter; grandfather: John Schlueter; grandmothers: Phyllis Larson and Julie Schlueter; an uncle: Chris (Jenni) Schlueter and stepchildren:  Kaylee and Elizabeth.

Preceded in death by his mother Jennifer Lynn Larson; aunt Melissa Schlueter; great grandparents Glen and Marion (Fasching) Zdrazil and Alvin and Margaret (Condon) Schlueter

A Memorial Service for Joey Schlueter will be held on Thursday, April 27th at 2:30 P.M. at The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted.   Father Matt Wiering will officiate.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 27th one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted is serving the family.
