Visitation Information

Joseph C. Bad Moccasin, age 65, of Lincoln, Nebraska journeyed to the spirit world on January 8, 2009 at BryanLGH Medical Center East in Lincoln.
He was born on June 26, 1943 at Fort Thompson, South Dakota the son of Abel & Edith Bad Moccasin.
He was a former ordained Episcopal Priest with a Masters degree in Divinity.
Survived by his wife: Elvina “Sue” Bad Moccasin; sons: Joseph Bad Moccasin II and Greg Bad Moccasin; a daughter: Nicole Bad Moccasin; five grandchildren; a step grandchild; five adopted grandchildren; brothers: Einar and Benard Bad Moccasin; sisters: Virginia “Jeanne” Bad Moccasin and Faith Bad Moccasin; a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Joseph Bad Moccasin were held on Thursday, January 13th at The Community Center in Crow Creek, South Dakota. Reverend Clifford Canku and Reverend Mike Simon officiated.
“Bad Creek Singers” from Santee, Nebraska were the drum group.
An all night wake was held at the Community Center on Monday, January 12th beginning at 5:00 P.M.

    Our prayers are for Joe. He helped our family & Ina Olson, thru our broken hearts because of deaths of our many loved ones, as well as his wonderful spirit guided us many times. He will be missed & remembered by all. Mitakuye Oyasin.
