Visitation Information

Jonathan Glen Yellow Earrings, age 16, of Sisseton, South Dakota journeyed to the Spirit World on Thursday, May 27, 2010.

He was a member of The Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate’s Lake Traverse District.

He currently attended Sisseton’s Public High School in the 10th grade.

Jonathan enjoyed swimming, running, art and especially drawing.

Survived by his brothers: Steven “Chaska” Yellow Earrings, Christopher Yellow Earrings, Rick Yellow Earrings and Scott Yellow Earings all of Sisseton, South Dakota; his grandmother who raised him: Brenda MacConnell of Sisseton; his father: Steven Thomas Yellow Earrings Sr. of Wakpala, South Dakota; his mother: Tory Rae Ross of Omaha, Nebraska; aunts and an uncle: Trina MacConnell and Shannon MacConnell both of Sisseton, Carlena MacConnell of Omaha, Nebraska and Russell MacConnell of Sisseton; special friend: Kateri Renville; many other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his grandparents: Lydia & Glen Goodsell, Derwood MacConnell, an uncle: Adam Robertson and Grandma: Wilma Robertson.

Funeral arrangements for Jonathan Glen Yellow Earrings will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at The Community Center in Old Agency Village, South Dakota. Interment will follow at St. Luke’s Episcopal Cemetery in Veblen, South Dakota.

All night wakes will be held at The Community Center in Old Agency Village on Sunday, May 30 and Monday, May 31st beginning at 5:00 P.M.

The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted, MN is serving the family.

    THOUGTHS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU GUYS DURING THIS DIFFICULT TIME. I PERSONALLY DON’T KNOW HIM BUT I HAVE CHILDREN OF MY OWN AND IT’S HARD TO SEE SUCH A YOUNG PERSON LEAVE THIS EARTH IN SUCH A BAD WAY.
