John James Baird, age 67, of Winsted died peacefully on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at The Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.

He was born on March 16, 1941 in Winsted the son of Agur E. & Rose Schermann Biard.

On November 10, 1962 John J. Baird & Gloria Wosmek were joined in holy marriage at

God blessed their marriage with seven children.

He was employed for many years as a truck driver.

John was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.

Survived by his wife: Gloria Baird; children: Jean (Jay) Carlson, Mary (Roger) Fiecke, Ann (Victor) Badejogbin, David Baird, Kristi (Greg) DeMars, Mike (April) Baird and Ryan Baird; grandchildren: Matt, Maria, John and Jenny Carlson, Jessica and Kaitlyn Fiecke, Ashley, Courtney and Lindsey Stewart, Danielle, Josh and Kyle Badejogbin and Elsa DeMars; brothers: William (Lillian) Baird of Talmoon, MN and Donald (Winnie) Baird of Maple Plain; sister: Marjorie (Henry) Crotteau of Sioux Falls, SD; nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents: Agur & Rose (Schermann) Baird and by a brother: Edward Baird.

A Mass of Christian Burial for John Baird was held on Friday, May 9th at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Father Bill Sprigler. Interment Holy Trinity Cemetery.

A visitation was held on Thursday, May 8th at The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted from 4-8 P.M. A Prayer service was held at 6:30 P.M. Thursday evening.
