Joanne I. Krueger, age 81, of rural Winsted passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Hennepin County Medical Center.

She was born on March 10, 1931 in Victoria the daughter of Benedict & Frieda Neuman Robling.

On December 1, 1951, Joanne Robling and Harold Krueger were joined in holy marriage in Victoria. God blessed their marriage with seven children.

Joanne and Harold engaged in dairy farming in Winsted Township, McLeod County for many years.

Joanne later was employed at Green Giant in Winsted, Tonka Toys in Mound and H.T.I. in Hutchinson.

When she retired, she enjoyed painting, embroidering, quilting and being a volunteer at St. Mary’s Care Center.

Joanne also was fond of traveling with her husband, “The Jolly Woodchopper”, when he played his accordion.

She was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted and belonged to Holy Family Council #204.

Survived by her husband of sixty years: Harold J. Krueger; seven children: Richard Krueger of Winsted, Mary Krueger of Silver Lake, LuAnn (Stanford) Hanson of Silver Lake, Monica Krueger of Winsted, Roy (Jane) Krueger of Waverly, Randall Krueger of Winsted and Reginald (Debbie) Krueger of Watertown; twenty one grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren; a brother: Wallace (Phyllis) Robling of Chaska; a sister-in-law: Margie Robling of Victoria; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, a brothers: Father Landelin Robling, OSB, Wilbert and Calvin Robling.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Joanne Krueger will be held on Wednesday, May 16th at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.

Interment Holy Trinity Cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 15th from 4-8 P.M. at The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted. A Holy Family Rosary will be recited at 4:00 P.M. and a Parish Prayer service will be held at 7:30 P.M.

Further visitation will be held on Wednesday morning at the funeral home from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be April Baxter, Bailey Krueger, Kelsey Krueger, Julia Krueger, Jerelyn Seth, Julie Seth, Arlene Krueger and Jennifer Seth.

Casket Bearers will be Paul Krueger, Joe Krueger, Jedidiah Seth, Jacob Krueger, Jonathan Krueger and Derrick Krueger.

    Grandma; you have inspired us to be a close and loving family. I am struggling to believe that you are gone, although I was there with you when you took your last breath. I cherish the time I had with you and hope that you are happy with God. I love and miss you deeply.
