Joan M. Ziebarth, age 78, of Glencoe, died Friday, August, 12, 2016 after a long illness.
Joan lived in Glencoe most of her life and attended Glencoe High School.
She later moved to Minneapolis with her husband Mel and worked for many years at the Federal Reserve System as a supervisor.
Prior to her many illnesses, she was a wonderful mother and wife and we all miss her! Rest in peace, Joan, you are very loved!
Joan is survived by her husband: Melvin Bernard Ziebarth; and their children: Jane (Mike Mecklenburg) Overby, Darin (Kari) Ziebarth and Eric (Sehri) Strom; siblings: Marietta (John) Steck, Joyce (Del) Graunke, Violet (Larry) Plonty, Lillian (Dave) Selnes, John Shovelin, Wayne (Julia) Shovelin, Diana (Jerry) Boland, David Shovelin and Ruth Ann (Douglas) Richter; other relatives and friends.
Joan was preceded in death by her mother and father, Lena and Frank Shovelin, her sister, Rosemary McEachran and by her brother-in-law Kenneth Ziebarth.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Joan M. Ziebarth will be held on Friday, August 19th at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Father Paul Schumacher will be the Celebrant.
Interment to follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery with lunch to follow.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 19th, 2016 at the church beginning at 10:00 A.M.
Joan was a delight to work with at the Fed. We were in the check department many years ago. Condolences on your family loss.
So sorry to hear of Joan’s passing. I worked with her for 20 years and have many fond memories.
