Jessica Lynn Monroe, age 46 of Minneapolis, Minnesota journeyed to the  Spirit World on Tuesday, March 1 2022 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  She was born on October 15, 1975 in Minneapolis, MN the daughter of Harlan Downwind and Debra Monroe.  Jessica was a member of the Red Lake Tribe.

Jessica or Jawsy as many called her, was such a bright and beautiful soul.  She was a mother, daughter, sister and aunt.  She always made sure to make people laugh anywhere she went.  Her daughters and grandchildren were her pride and joy.  She enjoyed drinking Pepsi and watching crime shows.  Jessica has many struggles in her life, but she always tried her hardest.  She will be so missed, but will be with us in spirit always.

Daughters: Arien Monroe, Elena Acevedo and Rianna Acevedo

Nieces – Samaria Mountain, Bonita Lemieux and Sheena Feather

A visitation and funeral service will be held on Monday, March 14, 2022, 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. at the Church of the Blessed Kateri in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Rev. Barbara Fairbanks will officiate.  The music will be provided by The Hoka Hey Drum Group.
