Wake Thursday, February 27th beginning at 3:00 P.m. until 7:00 P.M. at The Church of Blessed Kateri in Minneapolis.
Further wake will be held on Friday, February 28th beginning at 3:00 P.M. at the Pine Point School in Ponsford, Minnesota.
Pearl Jean Roy (Vilas) age 73, better known as Jeanne Hill, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, of St. Paul, Minnesota Journeyed to the Spirit World on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota.
She was born on November 29, 1940 in White Earth, Minnesota the daughter of Robert Vilas and Anna Yellowhead.
Jeanne was 4/4 Anishinaabe, a proud White Earth Otter Tail Pillager Tribal Member. Anyone in the family would tell you that her fry bread was the best you could get. Jeanne loved collecting angels and proudly displayed them throughout her home.
Jeanne was formerly employed for The State of Minnesota doing clerical work.
Survived by significant other: Eugene J. Rock; Sons: William Hill, Kevin Hill and Robert Hill; a daughter: Candice Eckert; thirteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren; siblings: Robert Vilas, Toni Vilas ,Violet Vilas and Vienna Gordon; other relatives and friends and her loving companion Handsome the cat.
Preceded in death by her parents: Robert Vilas and Anna Roy.
A wake will be held on Thursday, February 27th beginning at 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at The Church of Blessed Kateri in Minneapolis.
Further wake will be held on Friday, February 28th beginning at 3:00 P.M. at The Pine Point School in Ponsford, Minnesota.
Funeral services for Jeanne Hill will be held on Saturday, March 1st at 10:00 A.M. at The Pine Point School in Ponsford, Minnesota.
Casket Bearers will be William Hill, Kevin Hill, Robert Hill, Timothy Berg, Michael Hill and David Diver.
