Jason Eberhard, age 37, of Winsted and former long time resident of Howard Lake, died unexpectedly on Saturday, July 9, 2011.

Jason Ernest Eberhard was born October 8, 1973 in Omaha, NE to Charles David Eberhard and Juanita (Jording) Eberhard.

Jason graduated from Southwest High School in Minneapolis, MN and went on to get a degree from Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis before he entered the National Guard. He served as a Specialist from 2000 to 2007, and received an Honorable Discharge.

Jason worked as a garbage man with Randy’s Sanitation for many years, and always enjoyed the work that he did and the people he met. He maintained many friendships from high school, and was always outgoing, energetic and loved to laugh. Jason was an auto mechanic and always interested in working “under the hood.” He was an avid collector of Hot Wheels and developed an extraordinary fondness for Lady Gaga and loved slapstick comedy,

Jason married Becky Olwin on June 12, 2005. They lived together with their 5 children: Liam, Ivan, Hugo, Holly and Orin in Winsted, MN. These were the highlights of Jason’s life and subjects of his most humble pride.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2011 from 4-6 PM at the Chilson Funeral Home, Winsted, MN. Memorial services will be held at 6 PM at the chapel. Pastor Mark Loder will officiate.

The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted is serving the family.

To my friend and brother, Jeff and family:
My most sincere condolences to you all. There are no words I have which suffice, but know you are all being held in all our thoughts and prayers. Tell Jason stories. Laugh. Cry. Talk about Gaga and Hotwheels and whatever else brings to mind thoughts of Jason. Raise a glass (or 2!) in his honor. And finally, allow your friends and family to love on you.

    All our love,

Shane and Carol Burton and Family

It is with deepest sympathies that my family sends condolences to yours. There is little I can say that will ease the hurt of your kin, outside of the knowledge that you and yours are not alone during this time. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

    Peace be with you…

Becky and family; I am heartbroken to hear of Jason’s death. He brought such joy to this world and to the lives of those around him. I find myself thinking of him and smiling as I remember many crazy Karaoke nights where his highlights included “Crazy Train,” “Iron Man,” and many Wierd Al tunes (Eat it…). I will miss him. Please take care of yourselves.

    Fondly,

Sorry to hear of your loss. In 1961 my father also died in a car crash leaving behind 5 children under the age of 10. My mother was davasted, but remember to rely on family and friends for support. I’m now 50 years old and remember the extra care we received from others, so please call on family and friends for needed support. They are there to help, you just need to ask. God bless you in these hard times.
