Janet Delores Bruce was born on May 28th,1936 in Niobrara, Nb. She started her journey to the spirit world on August 9^th, 2021 at her home in south Minneapolis surrounded by her family. She spent most of her life in Nebraska with her family until about 1973 when she moved to Minneapolis. While in Minneapolis she found her husband Clinton, they married in April of 1980. Jan enjoyed going to church and powwow with her husband. She loved listening to music and reading. She eventually found her second home, M.I.W.R.C., where she worked as the front desk receptionist for 15+ years until the pandemic of 2020 finally forced her to retire.

Jan is survived by sons Michael RedOwl, Clark RedOwl, Tim White, and Pete Marshall; granddaughters E’laina RedOwl and Charlotte RedOwl, great grandkids; sister-in-law Ethel Bruce and many other relatives and loving friends. She was preceded in death by father Ambrose RedOwl SR; mother Mary Gilbert; husband Clinton Bruce; son Jay RedOwl along with other relatives.

All-Night wake will be held Thursday, August 12, 2021 beginning at 6:00 PM at M.I.W.R.C., 2300 South 15^th Avenue, Minneapolis, MN.

Prayers and final goodbyes will be held at 9:00 AM at M.I.W.R.C.  Sam Wells will officiate.

Inurnment will be held at 10:00 AM at Hillside Cemetery, 2600 – 19^th Avenue NE, Minneapolis, MN.
