Visitation Information
James Edward Marlowe, Sr., age 88, of Veblen, SD, formerly of St. Paul, MN, passed peacefully, surrounded by family, on Monday, April 12, 2010. He was born on June 13, 1921.
James served in the US Navy during World War II. He took great pleasure in spending time with loved ones.
Preceded in death by Baby Boy Marlowe 1958.
Survived by Luanna Marlowe and their children James E. (Mary) Marlowe, Jr., Allen Marlowe, Karen (Kevin) Hensley, Jeffrey (Rosanna) Marlowe, Daniel (Cindy) Marlowe, Ladonna Marlowe, 20 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 16, 2010 at 10:30 AM at St. Catherine’s Church in Sisseton, SD. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service. Rev. Norman Volk, OMI will be the celebrant. Interment at St. Matthew’s Cemetery, Veblen, SD.
Pallbearers are James Marlowe, III, Carl Walker, Cory Marlowe, Adam Hensley, Shawn Marlowe, Michael Nelson, Aaron Hensley, Shane Marlowe, Joshua Marlowe.

Mr. Marlowe was loved by so many! He always lifted my spirits, he always said something to make me laugh! I was truly blessed to have known such an outstanding father! He will forever remain in our hearts. We are deeply hurt by his passing & we are so sorry you all have to endure such pain. May his memory keep you smiling, may his laughter give you peace & may his love give you comfort in your time of need! You all are in my whole family’s thoughts & prayers.
