James Andrew Block Jr. age 11 months journeyed to the Spirit World on Wednesday, July 28, 2021.  He was born on July 30, 2020 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to James A. Block Sr. and Rose M. Rojas.

James was an outgoing, energetic little lady’s man.  His mom gave him his nickname Papa.  He had to watch his favorite movie, The Smurfs 2 every day.  He had a very cute unique laugh.  He loved terrorizing his cat: Auntie Butterball.  Jimmy loved spending time with his older sister: Meisha, Uncle Steve Sophie and their two Chihuahua’s Poppa and Harper.  From the time he woke up, to the time he went to sleep, he played, smiled, laughed, and cuddled.  He would get the biggest smile when his dad walked in the room.  He made sure his dad noticed him, even if he yelled at him to make his say hi and give him his hugs and kissed.

Survived by his father: James Andrew Block Sr.; mother: Rose Rojas; sisters: Meisha, Kaylene, Kaylee; brother: Keon; grandmothers: Laura and Debbie; grandfather: James Rojas II; aunties: Carol and April Graves, Kaeli and Sydney Rojas, Lori, Teresa, Kristine, and uncles: Jesse Jubera and Jesse Block.

An all-night wake will begin Wednesday, August 4th, 2021 beginning at 5:00 P.M. at the Church of the Blessed Kateri at 3045 Park Avenue South, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Funeral Services for James Andrew Block Jr., will be held on Thursday, August 5th, 2021 at 10:30 A.M. at the Church of the Blessed Kateri, at 3045 Park Avenue South, Minneapolis, Minnesota will interment to follow the service at Sunset Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  A lunch will be provided after the funeral service back at the church.

Music will be provided by the Hoka Hey Singers Drum Group.

Pall Bearers will be Billy J, Craig S., Steve M., Jacob M., and Jesse J.

Honorary Pall Bearers will be Rose Rojas, James Block Sr., Laura J., Debbie L., Meisha R., Jamie M., Kris M., and many more family and friends.

Interment will be held at Sunset Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
