Jacob William MacDonald, age 15, of Howard Lake passed away on Friday, September 22nd, 2017 at Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis.
He was born on October 9, 2001 in Rochester, Minnesota. He was the son of Bonni and Marcus Halverson and Scott MacDonald.

Jacob was currently in the 10th grade at Dassel-Cokato High School. He was on the football team, wrestling team and baseball team.

Jacob was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. Jacob had a smile that lit up the room. His great values, strong mind, and amazing spirit lifted everyone up around him. He loved sports, hanging out with family and friends and loved having an abundance of fun. Pride and Joy reign over him, from every life he touched. We will miss him with all our heart, but will cherish every moment of our life that we got to spend with this wonderful young man!

He was actively involved in Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake and Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.

Survived by parents: Bonni & Marcus Halverson; siblings: Brooklin Halverson and Tyson Halverson all of Howard Lake; Parent: Scott MacDonald of Mound; grandparents: Lenny & Linda Juncewski of Winsted, John and Pat Halverson of Lester Prairie, Gail MacDonald of California and Darryl & Elaine MacDonald of Washington; great grandmothers: Sophie Juncewski of Winsted and Betty Halverson of Kiester, Minnesota; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins further survive.

Preceded in death by his cousins the Shamla twins.

A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial for Jacob MacDonald will be held Thursday, September 28th, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Father Anthony Stubeda, Father Paul Schumacher and Father Michael Doyle will be the Concelebrants. Organist for the Mass will be Bobbi Ludewig. Vocalist James Strehlke. Gift Bearers Cousins of Jacob. Eulogy by Ryan Weinandt and Bryan Clemen. Readings by Theresa Baker and Readings and verse heartfully picked by Gracie Mallak.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 27th AT THE CHURCH from 3-8 P.M.

Further visitation will be held on Thursday morning, September 28th beginning at 9:00 A.M. until time of Mass at the church.

Honorary Casket Bearers Dassel Cokato Wrestling Team, Dassel Cokato Football Team and Dassel Cokato Baseball Team.

Casket Bearers will be Noah Halonen, Josh Deboer, Carter Jerde, Drew Oestreich, Cody Christensen, Billy Gardner, Brad Bickmann and Jackson Martin.
