Ivory I. Brant “Wakinya Na” (Little Dove), age 5, of Peever, South Dakota journeyed to the Spirit World Peacefully at her home with family & friends surrounding her on Tuesday, November 8th, 2011.

She was born in Sisseton, South Dakota on October 30th, 2006 the daughter of Gary Dean & Sara (Genia) Brant.

She was a very happy, loving strong and brave little girl. She enjoyed arts, crafts and puzzles. She always had a smile & giggle for everybody, she especially enjoyed visitors.

Survived by her mother: Sara Brant; father: Gary Dean Brant; sisters: Juliette & Lakaya; grandparents: David & Bonnie (Eagle) Genia, & Jackie Hisgun; great grandmothers: Ione Eagle & Pansy Genia; great grandfather: Dennis Hisgun; a host of other relatives, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

Preceded in death by great grandparents: Ben Eagle, Howard Genia Sr., Norman Brant, Rose Blossom Brant, Inez Marks and Gary Brant Sr.

Funeral services for Ivory Brant will be held on Saturday, November 12th, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at The Community Center in Old Agency Village, South Dakota. CLP, Filmore Simon will officiate.

Interment Genia Family Cemetery at the home on Lohre Road.

All night wakes will be held on Thursday, November 10th beginning at 7:00 P.M. at The David Genia residence on Lohre Road in Peever, South Dakota and also will be held on Friday, November 11th at The Community Center in Old Agency Village beginning at 7:00 P.M.

Drum Groups will be “Red Storm” and “Thunder Boyz”

Honorary Casket Bearers: her mother: Sara Genia; Carolyn Genia, Erin Genia, Heather, Genia, Mike & Mary Getty, Tracey Amos, Kara Dirtseller, Mary Goette, Sherri Genia, Alana DuMarce, Ray Lufkins, Jamaal “Joe” Lufkins, Jena and David Warren and Thomasina Renville, Robyn LaCroix, Jarrod Hisgun, Terielle Standing Soldier and Jordan Standing Soldier and her Hospice Nurses: Ann Pies and Kathy Johnson.

Casket Bearers will be, grandfather: David Genia, Michael Genia, Nathan Owen, Arnold White.

Arrangements for Ivory Brant are by The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted, Minnesota.
