Henry Yakima Thin Elk, age 36 of Minneapolis, Minnesota journeyed to the Spirit World at his residence on Sunday, July 24, 2022.

He was born on January 22, 1986 in Minneapolis, Minnesota the son of Yakima Henry Thin Elk and Jewell Renee Arcoren.

Henry loved watching documentaries and keeping up with current events.  His dream was to start a company building custom wheelchairs.  He had gotten himself incorporated to begin the business.

In spite of his physical restrictions, he was a strong influence to his family and was an incredibly loyal friend with a huge sense of humor.  He was an inspiring young man who brought much joy and laughter to his family and friends.

Survived by his children: Sincere, Maria and Xavier; mother: Jewell Arcoren; step-dad: Levi St. John; father: Yakima Henry Thin Elk; sisters: Rachel and Desiree Thin Elk, Melody Zephier, Shayanna Thin Elk and Mayme Morrison; brothers: Jerrad Thin Elk, Charlie Lumbar, Jermaine ” Monster” Barney, and Eugene “Savatoge” Hart; nephews: Jesse and Jordon; nieces: Juliana, Babi Love and Ana ‘Lenaa; many cousins, other relatives, aunts and uncles, who loved him and cared for him.

All night wakes will be held beginning at 7 PM on Thursday, July 28 , 2022 at Tiowakan Spiritual Center, 14625 Prairiegrass Drive NW, Prior Lake, Minnesota and continues until the time of service on Saturday, July 30, 2022.

Funeral Services for Henry Thin Elk will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the Tiowakan Spiritual Center in Prior Lake, MN. Eulogy will be delivered by Davis Arcoren.  Final feast will be held at the MN Chippewa Tribes Building, 1308 East Franklin Avenue, Minneapolis, following the burial, beginning at 3 PM.

Honorary casket bearers will be Jordan Thin Elk, Carlos Macedonio, Eugene “Savatoge” Hart, Steven Thoen, Frank ” Spanc” Ortley, Robert Durant, Keith “Rocket” Bruce, Shorty G and Roscoe “Bears” Macedonio.

Casket Bearers will be Sincere Thin Elk, Jesse Thin Elk, Isaac Merrill, Jermaine “Monster” Barney, Charlie Lumbar, Lorenzo Merrill.

Interment will be held at Hillside Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The Chilson Funeral Home of Winsted, Minnesota assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
