HARRY GRZESKOWIAK, age 74, of Plain City, OH. On August 27, 2013 Harry lost his 5-year battle with oral cancer and marched victoriously into the arms of the Lord.

Preceding him in death were his parents: John and Marie (Kegler) Grzeskowiak and his beloved first wife: Lavonne (Rathmanner) Grzeskowiak.

Left to celebrate his remarkable life are his sons: Dan (Ann) and Jeff (Lisa) and daughter: Chris (Randy) Aldridge; 6 beautiful grandchildren, 1 precious great grandchild; wife: Julia (Sally); brothers: Jerry (Annette), John (Mary) and Tom (Rose); devoted sister-in-law: Dianne Elfstrand and many cherished nieces and nephews.

Harry graduated from St. John’s University, Collegeville, MN, in 1961, as a second lieutenant and was on active duty for 1 ½ years in the US Army Artillery in Ft. Sill, OK. A 38-year career with Ashland Inc. took him to plant sites in Minneapolis, MN; Pensacola, FL; Fords, NJ; and finally to the research facility in Dublin, OH. Always willing to pitch in where he could be of help, he served as Ashland’s bowling league’s secretary for over 20 years and as the treasurer of the Retiree Club. His hobbies included table tennis, woodworking, bowling, and fishing with his sons (the three of whom would enjoy their annual fishing trip to Canada).

In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to a deserving service organization.
