Glenda began her journey to the Spirit World surrounded by family on October 18th, 2022. She was born on September 9, 1955 in Minneapolis, MN the daughter of Dennis Banks and Jeanette (Stately) Banks.

Glenda was enrolled in the Oneida Tribe of Wisconsin.  She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She worked for the Northern Lights Casino for 19 years. Glenda, in her early years, enjoyed photography, quilting and ceramics.  She was an active AIM member and was also attended the Wounded Knee Stand-off with her father, Dennis Banks.

Survived by her children: Muck-Wa (Rose) Roberts, Shana (Jad) Dardar, Beverly (Jake) Markfort, Randy (Cathy) Roberts, Nicole (Marcus) Roberts and Devin Smith; sisters: Beverly Baribeau, Pearl Blanchard, Darla Banks, Denise Banks and Deanna Banks; brothers: Dennis Banks Jr., Tatanka Banks and Minoh Banks; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents Jeanette and Dennis Banks; brother Roland (Kawliga) Blanchard; sister Janice Banks; nephew Nicholas Blanchard and grandson Miskwaadesi Roberts.

    My Koda – I didn’t know you left – so happy I finally seen you last year in Sisseton for Emmette’s funeral – my life was never the same safe place you always had for me – we walked away on different paths but I hope you looked back at our memorable times we shared with Melvin Lee – Annie Mae and Neil star – that was duch a great time! I hope you have to ability to read this my sister – I hope you do – love u…always and forever.,
